We’re pleased to announce the release of our dynamic mobile app security testing product.

We know that dynamic analysis is a key part of mobile app security testing and we’ve put a lot of time and research into working out how to create and deliver dynamic app security testing in a way that gives the most value and convenience for our clients.

Our dynamic app security testing product works with our existing static analysis capabilities to look for the following vulnerabilities:

• Passive network analysis
• Active network analysis
• SSL connections
• Runtime analysis
• Runtime Manipulation
• File activity analysis

This adds to the vulnerabilities we see from static analysis and shows when your data is exposed. We’ve built our dynamic analysis product to cover key aspects of dynamic analysis.

Codified Security’s approach runs through each mobile app’s functionality in a way that reflects the test cases of a natural user’s flow through the app checking the data that is sent and received by the app, files created, modified, or deleted at runtime, and network activity across a number of network types.

We’re always looking for feedback and new directions to take with our mobile app security testing platform and we’ve got some valuable features lined up.
