Two months ago we took a look at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mobile app security testing “playbook”, in particular the “carwash” approach of continuous integration, mobile app security testing, source code management and issue tracking.
Now the DHS has issued a call for services and tools to build and vet mobile applications for security and privacy from development to shipping and the continuing lifecycle of the app.
Of particular interest to Codified Security is the call for a secure app development platform based on a “security framework and integrated models for enabling the development of mobile applications for mission use.”
The forward thinking attitude of the DHS towards mobile app security testing distinguishes them as one of the most vocal proponents of good mobile app security. We look forward to see what comes of this and may even try to apply ourselves!
Codified Security is here to help make your mobile app secure whether it’s for iOS, Android, or to make sure you’re clearing the OWASP Mobile Top 10. For mobile app security testing try out Codified Security.
